Cyndy has fifteen years of experience working with a diverse group of individuals from youth to seniors. She coaches one-to-one and develops and delivers highly impactful workshops and programs. As a coach, Cyndy motivates and inspires individuals to reach their full potential in their career and personal life.
Her skills are unique, as she integrates her training as a certified career coach and life coach, to provide a holistic approach.
Before she discovered a career that made her excited to go to work every day, she worked in a number of occupations. Cyndy owned two businesses, worked as an Interior Designer and in many facets of Office Administration. She volunteered for various non-profit organizations where she led, mentored, facilitated, and coached one-on-one with youth, single parents, young families, and survivors of sexual abuse.
After working with a career coach, Cyndy discovered her volunteer work was what fulfilled her the most. She immediately began her training in career development and within a year she was doing the work she loves.
As a Certified Career Development Practitioner for the past fifteen years, she has been working full time for various organizations offering employment services. Cyndy uses her extensive knowledge and experience with career development theories, models, strategies, and assessments in her work. In her spare time, Cyndy enjoys spending time with her family, photography, writing, travelling and being in nature. She is married and the mother of two grown children.
Katherine believes, in this uncertain labour market, that learning HOW to land that great job is as important as the skills necessary to do the job itself.
As a Career Development professional, and Job Club Leadership trainer, Katherine has worked with hundreds of clients providing them with effective strategies in their job search. Her clientele includes; secondary and post-secondary graduates, immigrants with a professional designation, managers, IT professionals and women re-entering the workforce.
Katherine has facilitated courses in Career Development Programs at SFU and Douglas College. She is an active member of the Academic and Career Advisory Board at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and Surrey Board of Trade.
Katherine owned and managed three businesses and hired, trained and supervised up to 30 staff members at a time. Her strength as a Career Development professional lies in understanding what employers look for in a potential employee. She works closely with clients to ensure they present well through their marketing material and prepares them to be confident in interviews.
